Our Visit:
In December, we decided to try out Primecut Taqueria Restaurant in our hometown, for dinner. We arrived between 5 and 6 pm, excited to taste some authentic Mexican food. The first thing we noticed was the lively atmosphere, with Mexican music playing a bit loud in the background. The restaurant had three TVs—two showing sports and one tuned to a news station on silent. Despite the hustle and bustle, the service was incredibly friendly, which made us feel welcome right from the start. Unfortunately, the fountain drinks were out of order, but they promptly brought us mini bottled waters, and Jason ordered a Coca-Cola bottle. We found a cozy booth to settle into and eagerly awaited our meal.
Here are some reasons why we liked it:
- Friendly service: The staff went out of their way to make sure we had a good experience.
- Authentic Mexican food: The dishes tasted genuinely Mexican and were full of flavor.
- Wide variety of salsa: Though the salsa bar wasn’t labeled, it offered numerous spicy options and one creamy, less spicy salsa that became my favorite.
- Cost-effective: Meals ranged from $10-$20, making it an affordable dining option.
Details We Discovered:
- Salsa Bar:
- A variety of spicy choices, with a creamy, less spicy one as our favorite.
- Fresh garnishes: cilantro, lime slices, onions, radishes.
- Food:
- We enjoyed a wet burrito with chorizo, chicken quesadilla, chicken taco, adobado, and street-style steak tacos. All dishes were served on sturdy paper plates with plastic utensils.
- Extras:
- The chips were thick and crispy, with one bag being enough for three people.

Additional Information:
- Parking:
- Parking was tight, so we recommend parking near Walgreens in the shopping center.
- Restroom:
- We weren’t sure if there was a bathroom available.
- Practical Tips:
- Grab a few extra napkins, they seem a tad thin.
Final Thoughts:
Overall, our visit to Primecut Taqueria Restaurant was a delightful and flavorful experience. The authentic Mexican food, friendly service, and vibrant atmosphere made it a fun evening out. Despite a few minor inconveniences like the out-of-order fountain drinks and thin napkins, the quality of the food and the welcoming staff more than made up for it. We appreciated the wide variety of salsa options and complimentary garnishes, and we loved every dish we tried, especially the wet burrito chorizo and street style tacos. Parking was a bit tight, but we found a convenient spot near the Walgreens. We would definitely return to try more of their delicious offerings and recommend it to anyone looking for a taste of authentic Mexican cuisine.
