Our Visit

Jason and I recently had a wonderful date night at Pita GR, a Mediterranean restaurant in Brea. With both kids at evening events, we had a rare chance to enjoy some quality time together. We were excited to try out another Mediterranean spot after our delightful experience at Cava in Brea. Our visit to Pita GR was a delightful experience, and we’re already looking forward to more Wednesday date nights.

Details Discovered

  • Meals: Our meal at Pita GR was a delightful culinary journey. I opted for the Falafel Pita with Fries, which was delicious and satisfying. Jason, on the other hand, enjoyed a hearty plate of falafel, chicken souvlaki on skewers, roasted potatoes, salad, pita, and hummus for dipping.
  • Rating: Both of us felt quite full by the end of our meal, and we rated the food a solid 3 out of 5. While the flavors were good and filling, we felt that some items could have been juicier and less dry.
  • Service: The service was exceptional, with the staff being very friendly and attentive. They checked on our meal to ensure we enjoyed it and offered helpful suggestions on what to order.
  • Drinks: Unlimited fountain drinks. I particularly loved the cucumber lemonade.
  • Cost: My Falafel Pita with fries was $14, and Jason’s Mixed Plate was $19.45.
  • Bathrooms: They have two all-gender bathrooms that were clean and well-maintained.
  • Atmosphere: The restaurant was clean, well-lit, with Greek music playing in the background.

Additional Information

  • Hours of Operation: Pita GR is open from 11:30 AM to 9:00 PM on weekdays and until 10:00 PM on weekends, making it a great spot for both lunch and dinner.
  • Loyalty Program: You can earn points for every dollar spent, redeemable for discounts on future visits. This is a fantastic way to save money while enjoying their delicious food.
  • Dietary Needs: They also cater to various dietary needs by offering vegetarian and gluten-free options.
  • Convenience: For those who prefer to dine at home, Pita GR provides takeout and delivery services through popular food delivery apps. This is perfect for busy nights when you don’t have time to dine out.

Final Thoughts

Our visit to Pita GR was a delightful experience that we both thoroughly enjoyed. The friendly and attentive service, combined with the inviting ambiance and tasty food, made it a memorable evening. While the food was good, we felt it could be slightly improved in terms of moisture. Nonetheless, we appreciated the variety and quality of the dishes. The cucumber lemonade was a standout, and we loved the clean and welcoming environment.
